Leslie Parsons...Enamel, polymer, copper, wood, semi precious stones, and Sterling silver jewelry and monoprints on paper
Leslie Parsons has been a working artist for over 50 years. In the early '90's she became a pioneer in the field of digital collage on computer, exhibiting and selling throughout Michigan and the Midwest. The computer collages led to artists' books and acrylic collage, not to mention a sincere love of backgrounds. She says, “I am continually trying new ways to approach the same concept, that of a unique background integrated with personal imagery."
Her work has taken her into the field of contemporary printmaking with non-toxic inks making monotypes: unique, printed, non-repeatable backgrounds, then adding repeatable intaglio matrix prints, digital overprints, flexible plate overprints, and digitally manipulated transfer images for a subtle, integrated focal point to the art.
And most recently, she has been exploring the making of jewelry using her monoprints as well as enamel, copper, silver, semi-precious stones, polymer, and wood.
